We took Grace on her first trip to Disneyland on Saturday. She loved it! The first thing we did (as we have done with all our children on their first visit to Disneyland) is head to the Mad Hatter in Fantasyland where we bought Grace her first pair of Minnie Ears with her name on them. She picked them out herself and wore them most of the time we were there. Disneyland is all decorated for Christmas and she loved all the music and decorations. We went on the carousel, It's a Small World, and the train. She loved Small World. Her little finger couldn't stop pointing at everything she saw and since she's a dancer she loved the music. It was a very rainy day here in Southern California. We had to use our umbrellas for the first part of It's a Small World. We took the train to New Orleans Square and were planning on going to Winnie the Pooh, but it was just raining way too hard. Grace didn't mind the rain at all (the Provence she is from is very rainy). The boys on the other hand were not enjoying it and the stroller was soaked, so we headed home. Don't worry we have Disneyland passes, so we can go back again soon.

A Baby Shower
A few of the mothers in Joshua's 3rd grade class gave Grace a baby shower. These are such wonderful and giving people. I am blessed to know them. I'll attach a few pictures. There are more pictures on my mom's camera, but she is in Washington DC for Thanksgiving so I will have to get them off her camera when she gets back.

Ba Ba
I've had many people ask me how Gracie is doing with her Daddy aka "Ba Ba". They are doing terrific. She seeks him out to play with her knowing that he will pick her up and flip her upside down and be silly. She takes him by the hand and leads him to the stairs where she joyfully climbs up and down the stairs. The down part is a bit scary since she has no concept of stairs and falling. She just steps right off the top step and takes them two at a time. Fortunately she is holding her daddy's hand and doesn't tumble down. Just today Jon was home early (he had jury duty, but didn't get put on a jury), he played with Miss Grace for about 45 minutes before he took Joshua to soccer practice. When they left for practice she cried hysterically for at least 10 minutes because she wanted her "Ba Ba" (daddy in Mandarin). He sure felt great when I told him that. She still wants her mama when she's tired, but if she's looking for a good time she calls for Ba Ba.
The Mandarin language is all about tones. The same word said with a different tone can mean different things. For example, ba ba, means Daddy. But when she says "la ba ba" (except she usually doesn't say the la part) it means she has a dirty diaper. We've finally figured out the difference and can usually figure out if the "ba ba" she's saying is for her daddy or a diaper change.
