One year ago today, February 10, 2010 at exactly 10:00 am I was sitting on the couch with Jayden. He had brought up the subject of the "little girl" we were going to adopt from China and what we were going to name her. Right in the middle of the conversation the phone rang. It was our adoption agency telling us that they had a possible child match for us. An 11 month old girl from Guizhou, China who was missing her left hand. I was shocked. It had only been one month since we had filled out our medical conditions checklist. We had expected it to take at least 6 months. We had just 24 hours to decide if this was the little girl we wanted to adopt. I quickly called Jon and waited for the e-mail to arrive with her picture and medical information. Of course I already knew this was the daughter for us. The phone call coming right in the middle of the conversation about baby names was a sign from God that this was the right child for us.
